Celebrating 50 Years of AVANCE

Guests from across North Texas gathered at the Nuvo Room in Dallas on Thursday, February 29, 2024, for an unforgettable evening celebrating AVANCE’s 50th Anniversary with refreshments, networking, and heartfelt reflections on AVANCE’s legacy.
AVANCE has deep roots in Dallas. In 1995, the Texas State Legislature allocated $1,000,000 for the expansion and replication of the AVANCE Family Support and Education Program in four communities, including Dallas. The AVANCE National Office collaborated with local leaders to establish AVANCE-Dallas, which officially opened its doors to the community in October 1996.
Over the years, AVANCE-Dallas evolved into AVANCE-North Texas, extending its reach beyond the city limits to become a trusted partner for families, schools, and nonprofit organizations across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. With the support of local businesses, foundations, and community members, AVANCE has had a profound impact in North Texas, serving more than 50,000 area children and caregivers since 1996.
